111 murray street is a luxury residential tower in new york’s tribeca neighborhood, designed by kohn pedersen fox. the sculptural 64-storey structure is wrapped with curved glazing, which expands as it reaches its peak. the crystalline façade is prominent from both outside and inside the building, offering uninterrupted views across the city. internally, residences have been designed by david mann of MR architecture + décor, with david rockwell responsible for the wide range of amenity spaces.

at ground level, the entrance is surrounded by landscaped gardens by edmund hollander, establishing a tranquil point of arrival. a welcoming entrance greets residents, seeking to provide an immediate respite from the city streets. the 24-hour attended lobby comprises several distinct spaces that feature bold, natural materials including anodized steel walls, custom hand-blown glass lighting, and travertine floors.

glass-walled homes have been designed by david mann, founder of MR architecture + décor. for the project, mann collaborated with german firm dornbracht to create bespoke hardware throughout the residences. in a sleek black chrome finish, each kitchen, bathroom, and powder room will be outfitted in fixtures exclusive to 111 murray street. featuring a palette of natural materials, open living spaces seek to provide a warm counterpoint to the high ceilings and full-height windows. ‘it’s the final details that make the difference,’ says david mann. ‘we wanted the way you live in these homes to feel effortless and it’s that ease of living that informed every decision we made.’ see more images of the hardware in the gallery at the bottom of the page.

designed by david rockwell, and spanning over 20,000 square feet, amenities include a shared lounge, a 75-foot lap pool, and a spa complete with a turkish bath. ‘in tribeca, authenticity and craftsmanship really matter, and materials tell rich stories. our palette is minimal, but each material is spectacular,’ says david rockwell. a lounge with 15-foot ceilings and an oversize stone and steel fireplace overlooks a water wall and reflecting pool, while a patisserie and grand private dining room all look out over an enclosed private garden. it is believed that the project will complete in 2018.
