‘framing the sky’ house, located in tokyo, japan, is distinguished by a large translucent glass window in the roof above the living room. designed by atelier tekuto, the skylight is intended to connect the urban residence with nature, transmitting plentiful daylight throughout the dynamic interior. the dwelling negotiates a 2.7 meter change in elevation across the site, serving to organize the lower two stories, with a garage on the bottom level and a primary entrance on the main floor.
