set within an area of woodland 350 kilometers south of buenos aires, this dwelling by ATV arquitectos seeks to blend with the rural terrain. named ‘marino house’, the property is surrounded by tall pine trees that cast long shadows and create large areas of shade.

the use of two materials attribute the scheme its understated finish, with concrete and wood working together to achieve a balance between building and landscape. the two-storey residence places shared accommodation at ground level, where kitchen, dining and living spaces spill out onto the forest floor. more private areas are found above, with an observation deck joining two bedrooms in overlooking the rest of plot.
