six proposed designs have been unveiled for a new bridge to traverse the river avon in bath, UK. the competition, which was launched by local authorities in february 2015, seeks to find a scheme that elegantly connects bath’s quayside district with the city center. as part of the region’s ongoing regeneration, the scheme forms the first crossing of the waterway in over 100 years, and intends to open up new cultural and commercial opportunities along the riverbank.

the designs remain on display at one stop shop on manvers street, bath, until 25th september, 2015. the winning design will be announced by bath & north east somerset council in november following a full evaluation of the six proposals.
