architect claudio beltrame luxury bleisure hotel competition

l’arca international has awarded architect claudio beltrame’s ‘bleisure’ entry as winner of the luxury hotel competition. the project – in collaboration with luca beltrame, gabriele pascutti and erika kosuta – proposes a contemporary high-rise structure situated within an urban context. the building consists of multiple layers which each cater towards a different function and service dedicated to the needs of guests.

the defining feature of the building is the jagged façade that wraps itself around the structure. this pattern is repeated through to the interior of each area, using krion solid surfaces, within the entrance and bar, through to specific features within the bedroom. the competition set by l’arca international, placed a number of guidelines, which asked that participants use sponsored products such as axor and porcelanosa krion. claudio beltrame and team responded by introducing a dynamic design that incorporated each of the materials in a curved and expressive form.
