emmanuel babled’s ‘the breathing cloud’ installation has been making rounds of several events including PAD paris 2015, gallery yves gastou, and milan design week 2015. the compositions are made of hand-blown glass ‘digits’. the elements can be combined together to form architectural arrangements for unique, interior lighting possibilities.

in paris, ‘the breathing cloud’ embraced its space, taking form as bundles of lights floating overhead. in milan the chandeliers formed an opposite technique, instead being presented in a dense installation compressed within a floor-bound frame.

the pieces are bespoke and can be customized with various colors and glass finishes. fixtures exist in several sizes and versions including suspension, standing (floor), and wall — all three can be combined. the series was produced with the technical support and knowledge of vetrerie vistosi.
