ENO architects achieves passive l’écopôle building in france

the environmentally friendly l’écopôle building by ENO architects is located in concarneau, france. at 770 sqm, the timber clad structure serves as a business incubator, a space for information, exchange and demonstration. the linear form has been developed through the influence of its immediate environment which has resulted in the building as it is- the program is immediately recognizable from the exterior. characterized by its promotion of green architecture, the passive house standard is achieved through several ways: photovoltaic solar panels have been installed along with the green roof. meanwhile, the building internally exercises natural ventilation, the cool air entering, is warmed by heat sensor walls which are in turn, insulated with a combination of hemp and wood. the horizontal timber façade has been continued inside illustrated on the ceiling where the interior arrangement is composed of a reception area, information, a conference room and a covered outdoor area of ​​80 sqm which is designated for the practical training and demonstrations.
