green geometries laboratory (GGlab), in collaboration with students and faculty from the college of architecture at the university of philippines diliman, present the ‘rattan catenaries pavilion’. creating during the hybrids workshop (led by GGlab), the intervention is placed on a bridge that connects two building on campus. the elements are parametrically generated, used in part to show the potentiality of such tools and methodologies in contemporary architectural design.

the pavilion proposal was generated in several variations by teams of six, which were then regrouped into larger groups of 30 once a route had been chosen. through form finding and digital fabrication processes, a finalized design was reached and built over a period of two weeks.
