the ‘penafiel house’ is an austere, compact, and monochrome volume by graciana oliveira is located in a developing area of portugal. the conditions of implantation, areas and levels, have already been defined in the building site that overlooks the park.

the ground floor is 1.50 meters above the level of the sidewalk. snipping the wall above this height minimizes its impact on the environment and prevents itself from disrupting sight lines from the inside of the building.
