H3 hardy collaboration architecture (H3HC) exalts rail transport in their design for the new penn station by expanding transport capacity with eight new high-speed rails, and proposing a new metro line. expanding access to manhattan’s west side underground and with elevated pedestrian and cyclist pathways frees the commuter to easily reach the transportation hub.

relocating madison square garden to a 16-acre park on the waterfront between hudson yard and pier 76 creates space for concourses above and allows clarity of circulation through the space to the platforms below. this disassociation allows both icons to have distinct, though complimentary identities. elevated rooves and glass-walled facades create more transparent, accessible public face.upper levels of the depot provide space for shops, restaurants, and other traveler amenities.across the island, the arena’s relocation expands opportunities for tourism, hospitality, and entertainment.
