designed for the 2012 beijing di tan lighting festival, chinese studio HHD_FUN‘s ‘up’ installation provides a place of rest in our fast-paced active lives. pairs of slender bamboo rods are anchored in a metal base, curving to meet adjacent posts at a single point from which a solitary light is hung. this creates a network of spatial vaults illuminated to offer a comfortable environment in which to sit and look around.
