i29 materializes retail store for frame publishers in amsterdam

located in the historic felix meritis building in amsterdam, frame publishers has developed two retail areas designed by local interior and design studio i29. produced in collaboration with the foam photography museum amsterdam, the project has turned the building into a creative center that is set to host numerous events and exhibitions.

the frame store runs alongside these functions and offers a three-dimensional experience of the magazine, with multiple mirrors used throughout as a reflection of old versus new. the space hosts talents and brands from various genres, as the realms of fashion, art and design are combined with media, beauty and food.

the products are presented on series of single platforms with mirrored sides and black frames, reflecting the items across the room and giving the appearance as through they are floating in mid air. two larger mirrored objects contain the fitting rooms, a small art gallery and a set of stairs that offer visitors to experience the environment from a different perspective.
