stepping up the hotel experience, spanish design studio in-tenta reveals the DROP box as part of their micro-architecture collection. this moveable modular unit, together with the DROP eco-hotel and DROP XL, becomes a comfortable and eco-friendly cocoon that can be enjoyed by guests in the middle of any natural setting.
designed to be installed in natural places, the modules are off-site manufactured with lightweight materials
in-tenta‘s micro-architecture is designed to be temporarily installed in resorts and small hotels located in nature, with possibility to expand the number of rooms through minimum impact on the environment. there are two different room sizes for a comfortable fit of two adults or a family of four. it holds one to two fair-sized bedrooms, three-piece bathrooms with a panoramic shower, as well as an outdoor terrace. the space is covered by large windows that blur the limit between indoor and outdoors which help travelers fully immerse into the natural world.
the project has a low environmental impact, making it suitable for pristine-like landscapes
the DROP box modules are off-site manufactured, with lightweight materials that make them easy to be taken to the final location. wood is primarily utilized in the construction, given how it is a renewable resource that requires less energy to produce, extract and transport than more common ones. as a result, this natural material offers a solution for environmentally conscious use and a warm interior design.
