isay weinfeld unveils 'jardim' residential development for NYC

brazilian architect isay weinfeld has revealed plans for two slender residential towers to be built in new york’s chelsea neighborhood. entitled ‘jardim’ — a name that translates as ‘garden’ in weinfeld’s native portuguese — the project will be situated at 527 west 27th street, adjacent to the high line park and next door to zaha hadid’s design for ‘520 west 28th street’. the luxury condominium building will feature 36 residences ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, with many units twinned with private outdoor spaces providing indoor-outdoor living.

the development comprises two 11 storey buildings, which adjoin a generous interior garden that measures 2,400 square feet (223 square meters). this area of landscaping will be planted with mature trees and bushes. a dramatic private driveway runs the length of the plot, providing residents with secure parking amenities. other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a massage room. sales are expected to begin in early 2016, with prices starting at $2 million USD. isay weinfeld will also design the scheme’s interiors, with centaur properties and greyscale responsible for the project’s development.
