having undertaken many fashion collaborations, kate moss has recently completed her first venture into the world of interior design. working alongside property developers yoo, the british supermodel has furnished ‘the barnhouse’ – a peaceful respite set in the heart of the english countryside in cotswold. currently on the market to buy, the five-bedroom residence features an array of spaces including a double height living room which spills onto a decked patio and pool.

encompassing a ‘displaced glamour within the woods’, moss chose a soft palette of earthy tones as the background to an interior filled with variety of fabrics, patterned surfaces, splashes of color and finished with artwork by artists such as damien hirst alongside framed photography of the model herself. combining retro elegance with contemporary features, it takes a mere 90 minutes to drive from london to the countryside escape.

kate moss comments: ‘john and I became friends through our love for the english countryside (and the pub)…when he told me about the barnhouse in the middle of the silver birch wood I was intrigued and then excited to become part of the design team. we have created a luxurious haven in the woods, a perfect place to escape with family and friends.’
