due to increased traffic density and access difficulty for transportation vehicles in the city center, bahadir kul architects have designed a bus terminal to service the western district of kayseri, turkey. the building is formed around a continuous and monolithic stone-clad wall, which takes a stretched Z-shape through the floor plan. glass curtain walls enclose two separate foyer areas, with angled red columns elevating the large roof.

the facility is located 8 km from kayseri’s city center, on the same site as the new intercity bus terminal. this creates a convenient transfer between local, regional, and international travel, with a rail station in the general vicinity.

the foyer on the northern side of the building hosts regional transit, while urban travel is serviced from the southern space. the facility includes two ticket offices for either zone, while wet rooms and technical program are unified. the terminal’s offices, security, kiosks, prayer rooms, and restrooms are within the passenger area of the regional terminal.
