kazutoshi imanaga has called this tokyo residence ‘sense’ because it engages all of the physical senses.

double height glass walls give a contemporary spin on the international style of the home. the home engages the vision with strong lines while

the transparency of the glass also allows one to see through the house, connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces through a composition of material.

a fountain at the basin creates a pleasant aural component– a feature further enhanced by the swings at the basin, where one can hear the children

playing.

the garden is essential to the sensory experience of ‘sense’. light pours in, illuminating and warming the space, despite its minimalist character.

ample fresh air and the fresh smell of greenery are carried into the house through sliding glass doors that physically connect indoors and outside.

visually, the garden adds color and interest with its contrasting texture. kazutoshi imanaga brings these elements of interest into the home with wood,

textured fabrics, and several brightly accented spaces.
