la specola scenic structures designed by lan-tai studio

tradition, of materials and construction, provide the basis for lan-tai studio’s ‘la specola’ project. created as an opportunity to cultivate culture and explore the relationship between humans and nature, three minimal bamboo structures stand in an unidentified, flower-filled paddy. floating above the landscape, the boxes are placed just high enough to warrant expansive views. the position of each ‘la specola’ structure was carefully considered for pleasantness, and to ensure a quiet place to de-stress and center oneself.
