OMA is in the running to redevelop the miami beach convention centre site which sits on 52 expansive acres. the dutch firm is working
together with international real estate developer tishman and local firm UIA (led by robert wennet), along landscape architects
michael van valken burgh associates (MMVA), raymond jungles and TVS design on a proposal that is set to revive area by re-imagining the
existing buildings: carl fisher clubhouse, city hall, 17th street garage and 17th street itself, as well as the jackie gleason theater, which has
been the centre of discussion with regard to the preservation of the historic building. the proposal is centered on reinvigorating the area

ample green spaces are to be bordered with enticing programs that may include a soundscape park, climbing walls, fountain rooms and large,
