berlin-based PLATOON cultural development has recently completed the 'PLATOON KUNSTHALLE', a space in berlin, germany which contributes
to the creative global network. programmatically oriented towards the conception of new ideas, the building supports a diverse range of field and
over 6,500 professionals within the community. the communication platform is open to street art, fashion, music and political activism,
integrating galleries and performance areas. showcasing underground artists with residencies, bringing a confrontation of sub-culture
to the foreground.


representing the globalized and innovative nature, the structure is comprised of 33 shipping containers, a flexible form of construction
which may be rebuilt as needed. auditoriums for movie nights and multimedia performances as well as discussion panels and events may be
held inside. offices and studios as well as a bar.

  • Hundreds of thousands of these shipping containers will become available as the present model of globalization is reconfigured away from shipping finished products thousands of miles. Shipping costs can no longer be offset by cheap labor.
