‘sheep to sleep’ is an emergency micro-accommodation by young lausanne-based architects laurent chassot, agathe mignon, and victoire paternault. the design comes as a response to a prompt by association pour le logement des jeunes en formation (ALJF) which advocates for youths’ right to affordable, accessible housing. ‘sheep to sleep’ along with five other interventions were shown at les garages showroom, and share common spaces, kitchen, and bath; to represent a small community.

the micro-unit is constructed predominately in wood, with several modular concrete elements and a thick layer of natural felt wool. ‘sheep to sleep’ offers an individual basic living necessities, while attempting to conserve intimacy and be as comfortable as possible. all installations propose simple, inexpensive, and removable solutions to contemporary housing issues.
