situated within an old community of huizhou in china, studio hikari has transformed a worn down house built in the 1930s into its proper co-working hub. the project includes a studio space on the second floor as well as a gathering area for food, beverages, art and casual interactions among co-workers.

it is studio hikari‘s first project and the team will work and live in the renovated hub after construction is completed. ‘in our opinions, the street, the community, the people, the everyday life, the complex ordinariness is the most primitive standing point of this project, and we will eventually become part of this complex ordinariness‘, expresses the team.
