built by takushu ARAI architects, the ‘house in tama plaza’ is part of a residential area that due to its rising prices, the land has been fragmented forcing architects and designers to take advantage of space both vertically and horizontally, resulting, in this case, in 6-meter wide and 3-floor tall construction. this house is comprised of four different volumes that overlap with each other and some external space that was generated by the displacement of the structure, creating an entrance and a garden.

the house was pushed far from the road to generate a space for parking

the interior space is set along the tallest volume that contains the living and dining room and kitchen. a large skylight is located on this one, letting light flow throughout the house. accompanying the skylight, a high-rise void window integrates the individual spaces that are scattered inside like rooms, stairs and toilets. through light, arched windows and balconies, this house connects its four different structures creating one home that flows organically.
