the monolithic volume is a three-dimensional intervention with faceted edges, serving as a transitional partition between the reception and cutting/shampooing area. two door-sized tunnels serve as the only route between the two zones and are highlighted in neon green. the partial-height of the structure enables the salon to still maintain a connected atmosphere without dividing the room into two smaller spaces.

in order to create a flexible layout, the cutting area features large pivoting partitions with mirrors that fold out from the wall. the space can be made into one large room according to specific events. in the reception, a wooden hut-like station serves as a small gallery space promoting the works of local artists.
