located just outside tehran, iran, this building may appear to be a sophisticated office complex, but it is
actually a factory. the paykar bonyan panel factory is a small production plant with a smaller management
building attached by a bridge. the factory is part of a group of non-polluting factories in the industrial city.
the building was designed as a prefabricated system as a case study for factory construction in iran.
while the design is prefabricated, it is also completely different from the traditional factories of iran,
so much so that it has been short listed for the 2008 world architecture festival awards.
