designed by UNarquitectura, the ‘quebrada house’ is located along a creek near curacaví, chile, and elevated by diagonally slanting pilotis. it is accessed by a long bridge walkway, with trees that rise through its deck. the residence can be distinguished by a break through its center, which creates a larger and smaller section on either side. this arrangement is a response to the landscape’s slope, and serves to differentiate between private and public spaces within the overall interior volume. the living room features an entirely glass wall which opens toward a view of the forest context, producing a visually arboreal experience.
