international practice UNStudio has shared with designboom images of their ‘singapore university of technology and design‘ (SUTD), currently under construction in the eastern region of the sovereign city-state. the competition winning design is intended to drive technological innovation and economic growth, providing a common platform to bring together people, ideas, and innovation. using a network of horizontal, vertical and diagonal vistas within the double quadrant organization, the campus enables professors, students and faculty members to see, meet and communicate with each other at crossing points.

the campus’ topping out ceremony took place on september 6th, 2013 and development is progressing on track. the project is scheduled for completion towards the end of 2014.
