positioned on a sloping site in the japanese city of osaka, UZU architects has completed a residential property for a client who wished to return to his childhood neighborhood. entitled ‘swallow house’, the two-storey timber structure sits stealthily perched among more orthodox suburban buildings.

internally, white walls and pale timbers provide a stark contrast with the black exterior, ensuring a brightly lit and comfortable environment. upon entering the home, an entrance leads towards a small living room, while the upstairs contains cooking and dining facilities alongside sleeping accommodation.
