koki akiyoshi of VUILD studio creates a transportable wooden bridge made of domestic cedar in kawasaki, japan. standing at 2.7 meters tall and 16 meters long, the structure uses traditional japanese joining techniques by ways of wooden driving plugs, making it simple to assemble.

as a result of the traditional joining technique, VUILD’s structure can be disassembled quickly by simply removing the wooden driving plugs. the bridge consists of eight modules that are no more than two meters long, which makes it light enough for two people to carry. additionally, two 400 litre plastic tanks are placed on opposing bases to reinforce the stability of the construction.
