I cant help but feel that her work easily dates, and lacks a certain foresight/neglect to 'reality' around her builds. Personally I feel that Santiago Calatrava has a better depiction of this stye of Architecture, although somewhat different again. It will be interesting to see if this makes the 2019 schedule and the $1.62 BILLION budget! I really struggle with the work of Zaha Hadid. They are after all the ones that will make the success-profit or downfall-loss of such a project ! Why not doing a survey-contest-referendum with a large panel of future "customers" ? Why the diktat of an handful of so often corrupt politicians ? How many times did she attend a rugby or football match ? Herzog-de Meuron and their Peking stadium remain a reference , the organic design integrated traditional chinese craftmanship which is totally lacking with that shi..y project. Far to fit in the minimalist tradition of japanese architecture. She is an extremely talented architect, undeniable, even if her designs, in my opinion, break too much with "basic" lines of contemporary architecture. Her designs becoming too pretentiously avant garde versus futuristic, innovation gets its ground in the past, its flamboyance in the future .......
