canadian photographer cory stevens abstracts architecture in his series of images ‘deconstructed. reimagined.’ arranged from captures of buildings, ceilings, walls and windows, the pictures are repositioned and recomposed into kaleidoscopic representations of the original forms. fractal-like patterns emerge from spiraling cupolas, overlapping building facades and reflections of segmented skyscrapers generate optical symmetry. stevens references both contemporary and historic structures as visual influences, exhibiting an original point of view of everyday towers, monuments, and habitations. the complex manipulations are manifested as a dynamic marriage of photography, architecture, and digital design.
