‘are you looking for an alternative to the sugar-coated tedium of the average family day out? or just somewhere a lot cheaper?’

british artist banksy has opened a new exhibition called ‘dismaland‘, set in the british seaside town of weston-super-mare. the sinister and immersive show, which features work by damien hirst, jenny holzer and david shrigley, will occupy the site for a total of five weeks. the ‘bemusement’ park’s official site warns of uneven floor surfaces, imagery unsuitable for small children and swearing. additionally, dismaland boasts three large galleries, a hand crafted miniature world by artist jimmy cauty and a gothic sculpture park in a tiny big top tent.

the site will remain open everyday from august 22nd until september 27th, 2015, but be warned, legal representatives of the walt disney corporation are ‘strictly prohibited’ from entering the park.
