argentinian artist luciana rondolini has perhaps managed to make many a sweet tooth’s dreams come true with her project ‘calamidad cósmica’
(cosmic calamity). the monolithic popsicles are a frivolous manifestation of the latin expression ‘tempus fugit’ which translates to ‘time flees’ -
the slow, deliberate disintegration of the artwork a metaphor for the actuality of time, its inevitable capacity to eliminate, destruct.
