french-portuguese graffiti artist andré saraiva invited jean pigozzi to photograph artists maurizio cattelan, damien hirst, and takashi murakami, turn the images into posters, and finally plaster them around south beach. andrè and jean celebrated their ‘artist of the day’ poster series with cocktails and a dinner presented by absolut elyx and held at the standard hotel, where the well-known and the well-heeled came together. you can buy the series online at artdrive .

in the video below, filmmaker matthew donaldson heads to pigozzi’s magnificent residence-cum-playpen, the villa dorane, where the entrepreneur, art collector, and photographer talks about his many collaborations with designer ettore sottsass, particularly their creative cooperation on world-famous french dwelling. on the most meaningful aspect of working with the late italian master, pigozzi says, ‘important art can have a sense of humor, ‘so why not put a sense of humor in your house? that’s what I liked about working with him’
