liquid clouds by marcel christ

a piece from his ‘cloud’ series

dutch still-life photographer marcel christ has captured the ethereal force of liquid meeting liquid in his ‘cloud’ series. the pieces are an outcome
of christ’s interest in the unpredictability and surprise of the ingredients he chooses to work with, immortalizing a moment only able to happen
once through the discipline of photography. through this, christ explores the theme of time – a concept infusing much of his uncommissioned work.
the pieces are a series of images depicting the moment colored paint merges with water – a billowing display executed with a meticulousness
stemming from christ’s background in chemical engineering.
