'mammatus' for hartsfield-jackson airport by christopher moulder
images courtesy of the artist
the city of atlanta has commissioned artist christopher moulder to create an installation for the new hartsfield-jackson
airport international arrivals hall. influenced by the otherworldly formation of mammatocumulous clouds, 'mammatus'
is grounded in the physics of catenary curves. using over 8 miles of nickel-plated bead chains, the large sculpture is lit
with 30 color-kinetic RGB LED light luminaries that are programed to change color according to the date and time of day.

This looks absolutely gorgeous.
Great look, very soothing. But keeping this free of cobwebs looks like a nightmare.
