'sandwich textures' by taisuke koyama in collaboration with kohei nawa

japanese photographer taisuke koyama visited the artist kohei nawa, well known for his glass bead sculptures, to photograph various surfaces and
objects around his workspace known as the 'sandwich studio' - hence the title of the project 'sandwich textures'.

the images depict miscellaneous textures permeating the artist's space - with the dominant focus on material and liquid - producing fractal-like
patterning that strongly references nawa's sculptures themselves. the artistic collaboration generated 24 images and later turned into a book as
part of the 'lumen' series from artbeat publishers.

  • Fascinating and very attractive . Is it possible to introduce colours other than the bit of blue in the final four images ?
    Great result regardless !
