inspiring others gets scott biersack up every saturday morning at the crack of dawn to work on his ‘chalkboard saturday’ project. the young american designer’s quotes and phrases are not only reminders to himself, but he hopes to give students a little push of encouragement to get them through their day. ‘chalkboard saturday’ is constructed in the hallway of the COOR building at ASU, where an enormous 8ft tall by 30ft wide wall is open for public use. originally wanting to improve his lettering skills – he started to use the medium of chalk for his work. each piece takes around 5-7 hours to complete and can be easily destroyed by people passing by. scott biersack doesn’t seem to mind though, as it is an incentive for him to make another piece!
