sebastian bieniek‘s ‘double-faced girl‘ series swept through the internet last year after being featured on designboom. now, the berlin-based artist has reignited the experimental portraiture theme for his latest series ‘me & my friends’. using an eyeliner pencil and lipstick, bieniek crudely draws segments of bodily features onto his arms and positions the limbs in front of his own face. the careful placement of his elbows, forearms and fingers allows for the impression of a duplicate image: one which is his own, and the other created by the sketch. beaty eyes, exaggerated noses and female lips form multiple personalities that both unite with and disturb bieniek’s original appearance.
