san vito is a town in southern italy. there, within a forgotten ruin, is the ‘serious house’. the home, if you should decide to call it that, is a public installation by portuguese collaborative FAHR 021.3 for 180 creative camp. the studio’s (re)creation of a decrepit space through use of colored lines of paint–and structures–creates an emotional experience that questions what was, what is, and what could be.

‘serious house’ is a fleeting and uncompromising dream that freezes a moment of time and lets visitors’ imaginations decide what the space’s reality really is. the project was developed as an effort to improve local inhabitants exposure and access to art
