69 entries were received from 12 schools for this years ‘FL!P’ challenge. the task was to transform or ‘flip’ an existing chair, the erpo dining chair, into another piece of furniture, while retaining its primary seating function.

天 (tian) reflects the order and balance in the chinese culture. similar forms can be found on the roofs of ancient chinese palaces and calligraphy strokes. it is literally translated as ‘the heaven’ or ‘sky’.
