the alice gallery in brussels is currently showing a solo show of new work by new york-based artist steve powers.

the exhibition, which opened last week will run until june 22nd, 2013. alongside installations painted directly onto the gallery walls there are also some new ‘metaltations’ on show…

‘I distill my everyday experience into paintings I call daily ‘metaltations’.they are painted very fast, fresh from the epiphanies that inspired them. the larger paintings draw from those metaltations and go to a deeper understanding of the transactions we make everyday to live our lives.’ – steve powers
