german art director sarah illenberger has sent designboom images from her ongoing project 'strange fruits'. the series is an eclectic collection
of re-imagined fruits and vegetables - from a hairy apple to a diamond-shaped beetroot, the pieces are meticulously hand-crafted for an often humorous outcome.
through the combined techniques of photography and sculpture, the work playfully transforms food into a truly visual feast.
