digital artist vincent houzé premiered his most recent immersive interactive installation ‘fluid structure’ at the museum of developer art at google I/O 2017. ‘fluid structure’ examines the concept of ephemeral and amorphous shapes reacting under various stimuli, internal and external. forces and collisions bend the shape until it breaks, recombining into new aggregates that result in a mercurial landscape.

using computer data, houzé’s installation makes the audience an integral part of the process by displaying captivating visuals that emphasize the internal structure of the shape. the computer processes the forces and constraints in real time by using a state of the art fluid solver, which effectively renders mesmerizing graphics.
