The hourglass placed in the key rotates along with the turn of the key and begins it's countdown. The eye has a keyhole shaped pupil with emanating white light representing the white light of enlightenment; where all your questions are answered. Both are metaphors for a belief that in time we will understand why things happen the way they do. Patience is a virtue. The key is gold with a mythical style to it. The hourglass placed within the key is part of the unlocking process once the key is placed and turned. The portrait of the eye is of an elderly person to help convey the message of wisdom.
