 BECK' S PRIZE design a key and what it opens --- title: depress alarm # : 933 bastien sabatier from france    designer's own words: Day after day by dividing more and more our surrounding, our personality is getting secluded. The key becomes then the link to emotion, a real interaction with our personal imaginary, the instant where everything is changing and it gives a sense to our surrounding more than emptying it from sensations. Turning an international standardized product from its safety issues to personal interests gives importance to feelings as much as materialistic issues. By using the codes that are ruling it (red for fire, green for emergency exit…) the black box is linked to depression. Put in it whatever could secure yourself: a picture of someone you love, a toy from your childhood, a beer in case of emergency, etc... Everybody sees yourself exhibited in the box, like an altar to your personality and your emotion, but only you could get in touch with it.
