‘couch’ is made of a cellular textile structure filled
with polystyrene balls.
the polystyrene balls are added in the country where
it's shipped, so it is simply folded for shipping saving
on transportation costs.

‘tema’ was inspired by the bigger proportions of modern
service design. since conventional cutlery creations
today seem almost invisible next to the big pasta
and oversize gourmet plates stefan diez has proven to
be a precursor by taking this problem into account.
the result is a bigger collection that is reminiscent of the
classic form of spade-shaped flatware.

big bin’
is a multi-purpose storage system made up of
stackable containers in ABS plastics,
suitable as storage boxes for files, toys,
laundry, recycling products and transport
of a whole range of items.
by combining the various elements like
building blocks, a stable shelving system can
be quickliy created: the handle grips on the side
of each bin form the interlocking parts for the
vertical and horizontal construction.

when using ‘genio’, food is taken direct from the
kitchen to the table:
the stainless steel pots are simply given a
porcelain ‘shell’, and the food stays warm longer.

stefan diez
was born in freising / munich in 1971.
after finishing his carpenters’ training he worked in
bombay and poona, india for one year for a furniture
producer and subsequently studied industrial design at the
academy for fine arts in stuttgart.
he worked for a short period as assistant designer
for richard sapper in the us and for ca. two years
for konstantin grcic before he opened in 2002
his own studio in munich.
