the monographic exhibition dedicated to the
work of japanese architect kengo kuma is now
installed at: 'salone san francesco', como, italy.

first shown at palazzo del governo, siracusa, italy (2004)
and then arkitekturmuseet, stockholm, sweden (2005)
the exhibition consists of models, photos, films and texts
that illustrate kuma's work from 1994 through 2004.

kengo kuma designed the exhibition himself and was at the
opening to give a talk on his work and influences:

curator
the exhibition is curated by luigi alini, who has also
written the catalogue accompanying the show.
published by ELECTA, italy, the book investigates 21
works by kuma realised between 1994 and 2004 in order
to explore the shift in his work from a position marked by
the idea of ‘chaos’ to one in which architecture ‘dissolves’
as an object and becomes an integral part of the surroundings.
