jacques herzog and pierre de meuron, swiss architects,
born in 1950, their agencies are located in basel, munich,
london and san francisco and total 160 or so personnel.
winners of the pritzker architectur prize in 2001,
they are particularly famous for london’s tate modern in
a converted electricity power station in 2000.
the pompidou center devoted an exhibition to their works
in 1995.
