Presenting high-gloss polyurethane salt and pepper mills with sterling silver crowns:

A material sign of wealth, silver was brought out for use on special occasions.

The most historically significant of the spices, pepper is re-instated as the “king” of spices and paired in this project with the “queen” of spices, salt. Once reserved for nobility and wealthy merchants, pepper is now used, along with salt, in everyday cooking.

We wanted to elevate its everyday consumption as a luxurious (yet, everyday) household item with elegant, modern containers.
